Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the faulty recoloring of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having the high sensitivity and the high silver content, preventing the formation of leuco base of a cyan dye, by de-silver processing said material with a bleaching agent composed of the ferric complex salt of a specified compd., followed by processing the obtd. material with a specified alkaline processing solution.
CONSTITUTION: The exposed titled material is color-developed, and then is desilvered with the bleaching agent composed of the ferric complex salt of at least one of compd. selected from the compds. shown by formulas I and II, followed by processing the obtd. material with the alkaline processing solution having ≥8.0pH and containing a buffer. In formulas I and II, L is alkylene, cycloalkylene or phenylene group, L1WL13 are each alkylene group, R1WR11 are each hydrogen atom, hydroxy group or carboxy group, etc. Thus, the formation of the leuco base of the cyan dye hardly occur, even in case of processing the silver halide color photographic sensitive material, especially, said material having the high sensitivity and silver content and thick film thickness.
