PURPOSE:To attain high speed inversion from the conductive to the nonconductive state by providing a discharge circuit of thyristor constitution so as to discharge the electric charge stored in a switching element quickly. CONSTITUTION:The electric charge stored when a switching transistor Tr3 is conductive is discharged to ground from an output terminal T0 via DMOSTs 2, 3. When a voltage in excess of a conductive voltage of each TR is caused between the emitter and base of a Tr1 or between the base and emitter of a Tr2, the conductive Tr1 or Tr2 acts like to supply a base current to the other Tr forming a thyristor and the thyristor (Tr1, Tr2) of a discharge circuit 4 is conductive finally. The electric charge stored in a Tr3 at its on-state is discharged quickly to ground thereby quickening the inversion of the Tr3 from the conductive into the nonconductive state.
