Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable full-color indication at high brightness and make responsiveness speedy and efficiency high with small size by equipping a cathode consisting of electric field radiation type electrode, an anode consisting of conductive phospher, and a control electrode for controlling the electron discharge and brightening the conductive phospher in a CRT method. CONSTITUTION:Electrons e drawn out from a cathode 1 by high electric field made by control voltage V2 applied to a control electrode 3 are accelerated and absorbed by high voltage V1 applied to an anode 2, and the conductive phospher of the anode 2 is brightened by the accelerated electrons e. Accordingly, full-color indication at high brightness can be executed by selecting the luminant color of the conductive phospher properly. Further, since the cathode 1 is formed in an electric field radiation type electrode like a spint electrode, cathode efficiency becomes high and the high voltage V1 to be applied to the anode 2 can be relatively low voltage, therefore a smallsized indication lamp which is speedy in responsiveness and high in efficiency can be obtained.
