Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable measurement of a road surface temperature at a high accuracy in a time zone from the evening to the morning, by determining a differential temperature changing with time without being affected by an atmo spheric temperature to be added to the atmospheric temperature. CONSTITUTION:An atmospheric temperature Ta is measured by an atmospheric temperature detecting means 1 while a data of a road surface hourly changing with the action of radiative cooling to the sky from the road surface, namely, ground surface at a fine night is set for a differential temperature deriving means 3 beforehand. Then, a time signal is inputted into the differential temperature deriving means 3 from a time counting means 2 to determine a differential temperature DELTAT every second. Then, the differential temperature DELTAT and the atmospheric temperature Ta are added up by a road surface temperature deriving means 4 to determine a road surface temperature Tr. Thus, when a road surface temperature measuring device is carried on a vehicle to perform a measurement, a road surface temperature Tr at locations can be forecast at a relatively high accuracy every second from the evening to the morning.
