Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency by gathering measurement data at plural points while rotating a coupling without varying the relative angle between two sensor means, and calculating an centering correcting value according to those data. CONSTITUTION:This instrument is equipped with a 1st sensor means 13 which has an eccentricity sensor 133 and a parallelism sensor 132 fixed detachably to one coupling 3 opposite a 1st target means 12 fixed detachably to the other coupling 4 and a 2nd sensor means 15 which has a thrust-directional parallelism sensor 152 fixed detachably to one coupling 3 opposite a 2nd target means 14 fixed detachably to the other coupling 3 while displaced from the 1st target means 12 by 180 deg. rotation. The measurement data from the 2nd sensor means 15 are gathered at plural points while the couplings 3 are rotated without varying the relative angle between the 1st and 2nd sensor means 13 and 15, and the centering correcting value is computed automatically by a display arithmetic means 16 according to those gathered data.
