Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the variable speed operation of an electric motor by dividing the operation control device in a water pumping-up type power generation system into two single control systems of an electric motor output control system and a guide vane opening degree control system. CONSTITUTION:When the electric motor output control system for a pump water wheel receives the electric motor output instruction POE in the variable speed operation, an excitation quantity setting part 17 receives each signal of a phase angle calculation part 16, speed detector 11, and a voltage adjusting part 18, and is controlled to the output corresponding to the motor output instruction POE. In a guide vane control system, the instruction signal POE and a water head signal H are inputted into an optimum revolution speed function generator 30 and an optimum guide vane opening degree function generator 33 by the electric motor output instruction POE, and the optimum revolution speed of the pump water wheel 12 for the water head H and the optimum opening degree of a guide vane are outputted. Therefore, the electric motor output is directly controlled, and the variable speed operation can be executed by executing the control to the revolution speed at which the operation efficiency of the pump water wheel becomes optimum and the guide vane opening degree with the electric motor output at this time.
