Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a crystallized glass material capable of being provided with a colored pattern and of controlling content of foams, by crystallizing mixed glass powder having specific compositions, respectively and high- and low-softening points by given temperature treatment. CONSTITUTION:Mixed powder of low-melting glass powder having a composition with main components consisting of 65-80wt.% SiO2, 5-10wt.% CaO, 10-20wt.% Na2O+K2O and 2-8wt.% MgO and high-softening glass powder with main components consisting of 65-80wt.% SiO2, <=25wt.% Al2O3 and 5-15wt.% Na2O+K2O is press molded at >= the softening point of the low- softening glass powder and <= the crystallization starting temperature of the low-melting glass powder. Consequently, the molded article of the glass powder wherein the low-melting glass powder is softened and bonded or fused to the circumference of the high-softening glass powder is obtained. Then the molded article is heated to the crystallization starting temperature of the low-softening glass powder and <= the softening point of the high-softening glass powder and crystallized to give the aimed glass material.
