Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply judge the normality of an idle talking channel scheduled to be in use at call connection by inserting a prescribed test pattern to each channel of a digital trunk at idle state and sending the result so as to check the returned test pattern. CONSTITUTION:A talking channel insertion circuit 9 is operated by a test pattern control section 8 by an instruction of a central control section 3 to an idle talking channel to insert a prescribed test pattern to each idle talking channel. The test pattern control section 8 uses the talking channel locking circuit 10 to lock the data and to check the normality of the test pattern for each idle talking channel from an opposite station and the result is informed by the instruction from the central control section 3. Thus, its own station exchange checks the presence of a call request by inquiring about the normality of the idle talking channel scheduled to be in use to the central control section 3.
