Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease generation of burnt deposit in an edge part and to prevent a push flaw due to zinc powder by using plating liquid having specified high electrical conductance in production of a thickly electrogalvanized steel sheet wherein a chloride bath is used. CONSTITUTION:Plating is performed in a chloride bath such as a bath contg. ZnCl2 and KCl by connecting a strip arranged oppositely to an anode with a negative electrode via a conductor roll and electrifying it and electrodepositing zinc on the strip. In the above-mentioned production of the electrogalvanized steel sheet, electrical conductance of the chloride bath is measured with a conductivity measuring gage. This conductivity measuring value is maintained at >=450mmho/cm preferably about at <=580mmho/cm. Regulation of electrical conductance of the plating bath is preferably performed with loadings of KCl being an auxiliary. Thereby generation of both burnt deposit in an edge part and zinc powder is decreased and a push flaw is prevented and the excellent- quality electrogalvanized steel sheet is obtained.
