Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly cool the part near the joint part of a steel strip in the transverse direction thereof by tracking the joint part of the steel strip and previously outputting gas jet coolers for control corresponding to a change in the width of the steel strip. CONSTITUTION:The current passed strip 1 and the strip 2 to be passed next are connected at a weld point 3 and are cooled by cooling rolls 5a-5e.
