Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a recording material which has favorable color forming properties, raw preservability and stability of developed color images and in which a developed color part has light absorption in a near infrared region, by incorporating a fluorene derivative having a substituted amino group at a specified position and an electron-acceptive compound. CONSTITUTION:A fluorene derivative having substd. amino groups at 3- and 5-positions or at 2- and 6-positions and an electron-acceptive compound are incorporated in a recording material. The fluorene derivative can be synthesized by several methods, e.g., a method wherein 2,6(or 3,5)-diaminofluorenone is alkylated to form a 2,6(or 3,5)-disubstd.-aminofluorenone, which is subjected to dehydration condensation with a dialkylaminobenzoic acid or the like to obtain the fluorene derivative. The fluorene derivative may be used in combination with other electron-donative colorless dye, e.g., a triphenylmethane phthalide compound or a fluoran compound, and it is preferable to use two kinds of such dyes which give a black hue. In the recording material, a developed color part has light absorption in a near infrared region and a sufficient developed color density, and the coloring matter developed into color is extremely stable.
