Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce an anhydrous gypsum board of high quality and performance by molding the slurry containing an anhydrous gypsum II, short fiber and gypsum-hardening accelerator as the main constituents, and then cold-curing the molded gypsum board from the beginning at a given temp. and humidity to accelerate the rate of hydration of the gypsum board and to improve the productivity of the board. CONSTITUTION:The raw material containing 98$60wt.% anhydrous gypsum II, 2-40wt.% short fiber, and a gypsum-hardening accelerator as the main constituents is prepd. Then, the slurry is obtained by incorporating 3-15 times in quantity of water with said raw material and stirring the incorporated mixture with a pulper. Said mixed slurry is homogenized in a chest, and is molded in sheet form by using a cylinder machine or Fortlinear machine. An edge part of this molded sheet is cut, pressure-molded, and hardened thereafter by the hydration through a given cold curing from the beginning to produce the target anhydrous gypsum.
