CONSTITUTION:A bacterial strain such as Escherichia coli PG-150 (IFO 14644, FERM P-9527) or Staphylococcus warneri PG16 (IFO 14643, FERM P-9526) is cultured in a medium containing carbon source, nitrogen source, minerals, amino acids, vitamins, etc., at 15-45 deg.C, preferably 25-37 deg.C for 5-120hr under aerobic condition. The objective acidic urease is separated from the obtained bacterial cell.
