Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate transmitting of an optical signal without degrading a dielectric strength by transmitting the optical signal through the inside of an insulator. CONSTITUTION:An insulator 1 is provided between a high voltage part 8 and a low voltage part 9. A light emitting diode 3 and a photodiode 4 are provided on the end surface of one metal fitting 2 for installation. A photodiode 4' and a light emitting diode 3 are provided on the end surface of the other metal fitting 2' for installation so as to face the element 3 and the photodiode 4 respectively. Light transmitting insulating material is enclosed in the insulator 1. With this constitution, the optical signal can be transmitted without degrading a dielectric strength.
