Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent stray capacitance at insulated intersections between discrete output electrodes and common lines, by providing a conductor layer capable of holding a fixed potential at the intersections between the discrete electrodes and the common lines. CONSTITUTION:A conductor layer 16 capable of holding a fixed potential is provided at the insulated intersections between discrete electrodes 12 and common lines 18, so that no stray capacitance is produced between the discrete electrodes 12 and the common line 18. Further, interconnections for holding a fixed potential between the discrete electrodes 12 and between the common lines 18 are provided respectively, so that no line-to-line capacitance is produced between the discrete electrodes 12 or between the common lines 18. Accordingly, the lines are not coupled capacitively with each other and therefore no cross talk is caused. Further, it is possible to provide a plurality of photoelectric converting elements 1 and a plurality of common lines 18 on one and the same substrate 8.
