Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The synthetic fiber reinforcing layer 2 is exposed by removing the sheath layer 3 at one end of a cable C by a suitable length. The synthetic fiber 2 is curled up by the end face of the cylindrical body 60 and is folded back to the outside circumference of the sheath layer 3 when the cylindrical body 60 is fitted onto one end of this cable C and the cylindrical body 60 is moved in the direction of the sheath layer 3. The cylindrical body 60 eventually fixes the folded back synthetic fiber 2 to the outside circumference of the sheath layer 3. The coating layers 16, 1C of cores 1 are thereby completely exposed and the scaling operation is easily executed.
