Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase glass content between a coil and a bobbin by a method wherein a glass fiber knit tape is wound around the coil on which a superconducting wire is wound cylindrically while being extended, resin is impregnated, the coil is fitted outside the bobbin, and the tape is cut in the diametrical direction, and returned to an original condition from an extended condition. CONSTITUTION:The glass fiber knit tape 5, extensibility thereof in the longitudinal direction is 30-60%, is wound round a coil proper 2 on which the superconducting wire is wound cylindrically while being extended in the axial direction, and the side contacting with the bobbin is coated with the resin 6 into which resin or quartz powder or the like is mixed. The coil proper 2 is fitted while the resin 6 is contacted with the outer circumference of the bobbin 3, and the tape 5 is cut at a point A, etc. up to the side 5a of the tape 5 contacting with the bobbin 3. The tape 5 extended by applying tension in this manner is returned to the original condition, and the resin 6 is cured under this condition. Accordingly, the glass content between the coil proper 2 and the bobbin 3 can be increased, and a resin filled layer having small heat-shrinkable rate is obtained.
