Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid liquid-back and shorten pull-down time by controlling in succession valve opening of an expansion valve such that detection outlet temperature of an evaporator approaches memory outlet temperature stored in memory means, and shifting, after the memory outlet temperature is approached, the valve opening adjustment of the expansion valve to superheating control based upon a delivery port temperature difference of the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A motor driven expansion valve 4 includes a valve driving part 40M for driving and adjusting valve opening, and detects delivery port temperature of an evaporator 5 to adjust the valve opening based upon a detection delivery port temperature difference for ensurance of proper superheating. Upon operation restarting after defrosting is completed the valve opening of the expansion valve 4 is controlled in succession such that the detection outlet temperature of the evaporator 5 approaches memory outlet temperature stored in memory means, and further shifts, after the detection outlet temperature or detection inlet temperature approaches the memory outlet temperature, the valve opening adjustment of the expansion valve 4 to superheating control based upon the delivery port temperature difference of the evaporator 5.
