Abstract

PURPOSE:To make automatically the frequency switching of an AC motor by leading commercial frequency pulses to a frequency judging device and operating in conjunction a relay which is actuated by the output of the frequency judging device and the taps for switching the frequency of an AC motor for a burner to 50Hz or 60Hz. CONSTITUTION:The free terminal and intermediate terminal of an AC motor 1 are provided with a contact point (a) for 50Hz and contact point (b) for 60Hz, and a frequency switching switch 2 which combines those contact points with a switch (c) is provided. When the electric power is ON, a voltage develops on the secondary side of a transformer 3, and a transistor 7 repeated ON and OFF by a resistor and diode 6 to change the input of a commercial frequency into pulses. Those pulses are inputted to a microcomputer 9 and the number of pulses and the number of pulses from an oscillator 14 are compared to judge whether 50Hz or 60Hz, and a relay 12 is actuated by the judging output through a transistor 11 for actuation.
