Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible simple selection of the modes desired by users and improve operating performance by controlling a heat fixing device to a fixable predetermined set temp. irrespective of a preheating switch while a power source switch is ON. CONSTITUTION:When a preheating switch 15 is turned ON while a power source switch 17 is OFF, a heat control circuit 16 is supplied with power source, and compares the signal from a heat sensitive element 8 with the 2nd reference signal, by the output signal whereof a switching element 7 is controlled to make ON-OFF controlling of a heater 6, so that the heat fixing device is controlled to the 2nd set temp. While the preheating switch 15 and the power source switch 17 are OFF, the heater 6 does not go ON. Here, when the power source switch 17 goes ON, power is supplied to a main sub-control circuit 20, and the controlled circuit 21, by which a relay 22 is turned ON and its contacts 23 are closed, so that the heat control circuit 16 operates irrespective of the ON and OFF of the preheating switch 15. In this case, the heat control circuit 16 compares the signal from the element 8 with the 1st reference value, by the output signal whereof the switching element 7 is controlled so that the heat fixing device is controlled to the 1st set temp.
