Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a polygonal resilient coupling element of a fiber-reinforced plastics material having large twist strength by constituting a web formed by a central fiber layer with fibers in the longitudinal direction and an outer fiber layer having a particular direction with respect to the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION: A polygonal resilient coupling element is constituted by web areas 1 consisting of a central fiber layer 5 with fibers in the longitudinal direction and an outer fiber layer 6 having a direction of ±30 degrees to 60 degrees with respect to the longitudinal direction, and substantially trigonal eye areas 2 having screw holes 4. As the web areas 1 are constituted by layers having different fiber directions, the extension of fibers is restricted even if tensile load or bending load occurs, hence it is possible to raise the twist strength of the coupling element.
