Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture holey film with uniform fine holes at high productivity and at low cost by a method wherein resin film containing polyolefin and filler is stretched and heat-embossed, and at the same time taken off at a speed, which is higher than the peripheral speed of an embossing roll. CONSTITUTION:Resin film, which is formed by adding 20-400 parts by weight of filler per 100 parts by weight of polyolefin, is stretched at least uniaxially and, after that, heat-embossed with both an embossing roll 1 having a large number of projected knobs and pinch rolls 8 for pressing the knobs and, at the same time, a film 6 is taken off at a speed, which is higher than at least the peripheral speed of the embossing roll 1. As the polyolefin film, polypropylene excellent in stretchability, high density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) are employed. As the favorable filler, inorganic filler such as calcium carbonate, talc, clay, silica or the like is employed. As loadings, 20-400 parts by weight of the filler is added to 100 parts by weight of the polyolefin. The temperature of the embossing roll 1 is selected in response to the working speed. For example, when LLDPE is used as polyolefin, the preferable temperature of the roll 1 is 110 deg.C when the take-off is 60m/min and 115 deg.C when 100m/min.
