PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a conductive oxide film and to reduce a leakage current by employing conductive polypyrrole having excellent electric conductivity and easy formation of a solid electrolyte layer as the solid electrolyte of a tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolytic layer made of conductive polymer compound is formed on a dielectric oxide film to form a tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor. In this case, the compound is of conductive polypyrrole doped with at least one type selected from a group consisting of arylsulfonic acid or its salts, arylphosphinic acid or its salts, and arylphosphonic acid or its salts. Benzenesulfonic acid, or toluenesulfonic acid, etc., is employed as the arylsulfonic acid. Thus, the damage of the dielectric oxide film is eliminated, and a leakage current is reduced.
