Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of head crush or suction by supporting a negative pressure using type floating head slider by a specific spring or two electrodistortion elements coupled on both the ends in parallel and impressing a specific driving voltage to the elements. CONSTITUTION:The titled mechanism is provided with a gimbal spring 2 for supporting a head slider 1 utilizing suction force between a floating head and a magnetic disk, a suspension spring 3 for supporting the spring 2 at its one end and two electrodistortion elements 4, 5 joined with the other end of the spring 3 and coupled on both the ends in parallel with an interval. A signal with a waveform obtained by superposing a sine wave and a square wave or an AC component of a triangular wave to a DC component is impressed from terminals 10, 11 to the elements 4, 5 by a signal generation part 9 and a driving circuit part 8.
