Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise buckling resistant strength of lining material against external water pressure by a method in which epoxy resin for jointing concrete is coated on adequate positions of the periphery of a cylindrical lining material, the lining material is inserted into a tunnel, and concrete is back-filled between the lining material and the tunnel. CONSTITUTION:Epoxy resin 2 for joining concrete is coated on adequate position of the periphery of a cylindrical lining material 1 of FRP, and the lining material 1 is inserted into a tunnel 4 formed under the ground 3. Concrete 5 is placed between the material 1 and the tunnel 4, whereupon the groundwater is trapped in the space with the material 1 through the concrete 5. When external water pressure acts on the material 1, the behavior of the material 1 is restricted by the bonding force of the epoxy resin 2 to prevent the occurrence of buckling. Since the thickness of the material 1 can be made smaller, the cost of construction can be reduced.
