Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely absorb tension in its fluctuation by providing a stopping member in the free end of a swivel arm, able to vertically swivel about a supporting point, to be supported to the loosened part of a tape while detecting a position of the stopping member and controlling the rotary speed of a drive roller being based on the detected signal of the stopping member position. CONSTITUTION:Generating a tape feed speed in this side of a loosening part T1 of a tape T slower than in the side behind it, when a loosening margin decreases, an idling roller 12 is lifted, swiveling a swivel arm 11 as shown by a virtual line (a) and maintaining tension of the tape T to a fixed value. Then detecting the idling roller 12 to be lifted excessively upward by a magnetic sensor 16, a rotary speed is increased of a driving motor 17 being based on the detected signal of the sensor 16. The loosening margin is corrected in a manner wherein the idling roller 12 is placed in the proper position. While in case of the idling roller 12 being lowered excessively downward, also the loosening margin is similarly corrected. By the method thus obtained, a change of the tension can be surely absorbed.
