Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A carriage 7 is moved by driving a motor 7b to bring a rotary brush 1 into contact with the edge part of a strip S. At this time, an arm 10 which is linked to the lateral shaft 9 of the carriage 7 via a guide 6 arrives at the point B to turn on a position detecting sensor 10a. And, a signal from this sensor 10a is inputted into a control device D and the carriage 7 is stopped according to a command from the control device D to remove the electrodeposited matter of the strip S by means of the rotary brush 1 set in the position III. Then, the strip S meanders being largely sided on the R side and the rotary brush 1 is moved to the position IV and, as the arm 10 arrives at the point C, a signal from the sensor 10a is inputted into the control device D, moving the carriage 7 to properly bring the rotary brush 1 into contact with the strip edge part.
