Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the extent of ozone generation to the utmost for safety's sake by setting a corona discharge electrode down to a conductor tape, and constituting it to be embedded in an insulating tape having thermal and electri cal insulatingness, so as to cause the one side edge alone to be exposed to the air. CONSTITUTION:A thin conductor tape 2 of less than 100mum in thickness, or less than 70mum, if possible, is used as a discharge electrode 1 and it is constitut ed in a way of being embedded in an insulating tape 4 having thermal and electrical insulatingness so as to cause the one side edge alone to be exposed to the air. And, corona discharge is generated out of the acute one side edge 3 where the conductor tape 2 is exposed to the air. Since the inserted conductor tape 2 is used after being embedded in the insulating tape 4, thickness of the discharge electrode 1 can be very thinned without any fear of disconnection, therefore an effective radius of curvature at the one side edge 3, where the corona discharge takes place, is remarkably reducible, so that a corona dis charge area in gas, where ozone generation takes place, is reduced to the utmost, thus the total amount of ozone generation is sharply reducible.
