Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent influence of various forces except an acoustic wave under water so as to obtain a high S/N by winding a piezoelectric wire where piezoe lectric layers are separated reversely between a core electrode and divided electrodes, around an unextendable flexible conductive core so that piezoelectric separation areas are arranged in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric layer 2 in which center a core electrode 4 is inserted is divided into two, while divisional electrodes 5a, 5b are formed on the outer peripheral faces of both piezoelectric divisional layers 3a, 3b. A piezoe lectric wire 1 where the piezoelectric divisional layers 3a, 3b are reversely separated respectively between the core electrodes 4 and the divisional electrodes is wound around unextendable flexible conductive core 8 such that the piezoelec tric divisional layers 3a, 3b are arranged in an axial direction. The wire 1 is inserted into a flexible tube, where an insulating oil is filled. It is thus pos sible to remove influence of wave, towing operation and the like generating various forces, as possibly as can, and to improve S/N ratio.
