Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the electrical characteristic and oxydation stability of an electrically insulating oil by forming same from a liquid polyisoprene hydride having hydroxyl group and/or isocianate radical. CONSTITUTION:An electrically insulating oil is formed of a liquid polyisoprene hydride having hydroxyl group and/or isocianate radical. The liquid polyisoprene hydride having hydroxyl group is obtained by polymerizing isoprene under hydrogen peroxide to obtain liquid polyisoprene having hydroxyl group, and by changing it into hydrate. The liquid polyisoprene hydride having isocyanate radical, on the other hand, is obtained by reacting liquid polyisoprene hydride having isocianate radical with a polyisocianate compound. It is thus possible to obtain a electrically insulating oil with excellent electric performance as well as superior oxygen stability.
