Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an always optimum reproduction equiv. operation so that a sound signal is correctly restored by detecting the spectral shape of a sound PSK signal subjected to reproduction equivalence and executing control in such a manner that the detected spectral shape coincides with the spectral shape of the sound data at the time of recording. CONSTITUTION:An optimum equalization characteristic is obtainable with the amplitude characteristic of a reproduction equalizer 15 if the gains of coefft. circuits 26-28 are set in correspondence to the reproduction spectra of the sound PSK signal. Namely, the coefft. circuits 26-28 are constituted by using gain variable amplifiers of a voltage control type and a coefft. control circuit 35 of an equalization control part 30 selectively outputs control voltages GC0, GC1, GC2 by which the optimum equalization characteristic is obtd. The always optimum reproduction equalization is thus enabled by the relatively simple constitution regardless of a difference in recording mode, audio channel and the recording current of a video signal. The audio signal is thus faithfully restored and reproduced.
