Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently execute heat treatment to a material to be treated in a desired way by controlling carbon potential in atmosphere after executing regeneration of an oxygen detector at the time of raising temp. of the material to be treated. CONSTITUTION:The oxygen detector 41 is charged in a fluid zone of fluid grain 31 in a heating chamber 13 as penetrating a distributing plate 21 from lower part thereof. The material to be treated is charged in the fluid zone to execute heat treatment. At the time of raising the temp. of this material to be treated, by sending air into the oxygen detector 41 through a valve 42, stuck soot is burnt and removed, to regenerate the oxygen detector 41 itself. After that, by functioning the oxygen detector 41, oxygen analyzer 43 and an arithmetic unit 71, opening of a valve 72 is adjusted. By this method, composition of the fluidizing gas is adjusted and the carbon potential in the atmosphere in the fluid zone is accurately controlled.
