Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the pressure loss and to make the microbe utilizing filter compact by fixing microbes to a honeycomb structure which is made of zeolite reinforced by inorganic fiber and is combined with a binder. CONSTITUTION:The inorganic fiber (a), such as glass fiber, is applied with such a liquid that synthetic zeolite (b) is dispersed in acrylic emulsion, etc., and made into a honeycomb structure body by using a corrugator machine used for the formation of corrugated paper. Then the honeycomb structure body is dipped in the liquid of acrylic emulsion dispersed with peat moss of organic matter C as a nourishing source of microbe to fix the peat moss. In order to produce the microbe fixing honeycomb structure body, the honeycomb structure body is submerged into the decoction of the culture soil which is mixed with soil and sludge, etc., of odor source and is cultivated. The microbe utilizing filter obtained by above-mentioned method is furnished to a deodorizing device to deodorize by passing through the gas containing malodor components through the filter.
