Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a buzz tone from being generated in a demodulated sound signal by attenuating the frequency component of a horizontal synchronizing signal frequency fH and the higher harmonic frequency 2fH, which are generated in the output edge of a phase comparator with a trap circuit and adding it to a VCO. CONSTITUTION:A video IF signal from an IF amplifying circuit 4 is phase- compared with the oscillating output signal of the same frequency from a VCO12 and an output signal according to the phase difference is generated in the output edge. The output signal is smoothed in an LPF14 and after that, impressed through a trap circuit 15 to the VCO12. At such a time, the output signal of the frequency fH and the higher harmonic frequency is generated in the output edge of the circuit 13. Then, the trap circuit 15 is inserted between the circuit 13 and the VCO12 to attenuate the signal of the frequency fH and the secondary higher harmonic 2fH and the oscillating output signal of the VCO12 is prevented from receiving the influence of an abnormal phase mudulation.
