Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive lightweigtedness of the title magnet, the magnetic flux of which can be changed, without having a complicated structure and a power source equipment to change the intensity of magnetic field by a method wherein a closed loop of a conductor having superconductive characteristics, the function with which the area of the loop is changed, are provided to the title magnet. CONSTITUTION:When a current is made to flow on the conductor 11 having superconducting characteristics, the force which widens a loop works by the magnetic field generated by the loop itself. When the loop is contracted by the mechanism 12 with which the loop area is varied against said force, the energy of the magnetic field of the loop increases, and the magnetic flux generated by the loop also increases. Besides, the magnetic field, which is generated by the reduction in loop area, increases the strength and the magnetic flux is varied by the magnetic field.
