Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having the large wet film strength and the improved developing property by incorporating a gelatin which contains 6-15wt.% high polymer component, and is subjected to ion exchange treatment, in a hydrophilic colloidal layer. CONSTITUTION:The gelatin which is subjected to the ion exchange treatment, and contains 6-15wt.% the high polymer, is incorporated in the hydrophilic colloidal layer such as a photographic emulsion layer, a protective layer and an intermediate layer. The gelatin contg. 6-15wt.% the high polymer is formed by extracting the gelatin at a low temp. of <=60 deg.C, followed by extracting the gelatin at a high temp. of 60-75 deg.C in an extraction step. Thus,the titled material with the large wet film strength and the good development proceeding property is obtd.
