Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain easily an arom. polymer thin film having no pinhole and high flatness and being useful for a secondary battery material and so on, by forming a laminated body of a thin film of an arom. cpd. and an electrolytic film on an electrode base plate and carrying out electrolytic oxidation. CONSTITUTION:A thin film of an arom. cpd. (e.g., N-vinylcarbazole or biphenyl) is prepd. on an electrode base plate by means of a vacuum deposition method, a soln. coating method and so on. Then, an electrolytic film (e.g., a film made of a mixt. of lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate with polyoxyethylene) is prepd. on this film. Then, an upper electrode is brought into tight contact with it can an electric voltage is applied across two electrodes to carry out electrolytic oxidation of the thin film to thereby obtain to a polymer thin film made of the arom. cpd. The polymer thin film thus obtd. has electrical conductivity, oxidation-reduction characteristic, electrochromism and so on and is suitably used as a thin film battery, display material and so on.
