Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the generating efficiency of power with running water enabling its energy to be effectively utilized by constituting a water turbine mounting blades with a fixed space in the peripheral surface of an endless belt or chain. CONSTITUTION:In case of the invention being applied to a device generating power by utilizing energy of running water in a river or the like, this water turbine is constituted of a main unit 1 of light weight long and narrow in a direction of the running water, endless chain 2 provided linking between chain wheels provided in both longitudinal ends of the main unit and many blades 3 mounted to the chain 2 with a fixed space in its lengthwise direction, connecting a generator 10 onto a rotary shaft of one of the chain wheels 4. This water turbine, which is supported to two floats 7 arranged in both sides of the water turbine and floating on a surface of the running water, is set up by mooring the point end of the float 7 to a river side by a chain 8. By the constitution thus obtained, receiving energy of the running water by the blades 3, the chain 2 is rotated so as to drive the generator 10.
