Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a melting furnace capable of effectively preventing stringiness phenomenon of melted product and readily controlling take off amount, etc., by continuously connecting changeover means for changing over the operation every heating part and setting heating range of a nozzle to each heating part in which heating area to the nozzle is arranged in the state divided up and down. CONSTITUTION:When dropping of melted material from a melt tank 1 is stopped, turning on electricity to heating parts 12A-12C having stages up and down is stopped successively from upper stage by changeover means 14. Viscosity of melted material of a part in the upper part is increased while continuing dropping of melted material in the lower part of a nozzle 5 and viscosity of melted material in the lower part is successively increased by the above-mentioned method. Namely, melted material in the upper part than the lowest stage position is formed to semi-solidification state till stopping heating of the lowest stage position and simultaneously melted material of the lowest stage position is let to flow off. When the dropping is begun, electric current is sent to total heating parts 12A-12C and total length of the nozzle 5 is heated all together and melted material in semi-solidification sate is rapidly melted.
