Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a position while reducing erroneous operation due to disturbance, by a method wherein a plurality of sonic wave receivers are arranged on the same plane so as to be spaced apart from each other by a definite distance and a pulse like sonic wave signal is transmitted from the transmitter moving on the surface known in the vertical distance from said plane and the difference between the times when respective sonic wave receivers receive the sonic wave at first is calculated. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter T1 is mounted on the unmanned vehicle 1 running on a floor surface and sonic wave receives S1-S3 are arranged to the ceiling having a height (h) from the transmitter T1 so as to be spaced apart from each other by a definite distance.
