Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of processes, by grasping a skin material in a high temp. state by a vacuum molding machine and bringing the recessed mold of the vacuum molding machine to a negative pressure state to suck the skin material and feeding a curable foamed synthetic resin raw material to the pressure feed passage specially provided to the protruding mold of the vacuum molding machine to fill the space between the skin material and the protruding mold with said raw material to cure and mold the same. CONSTITUTION:A skin material 5 is constituted by bonding a synthetic resin sheet 7 composed of polyvinyl chloride to a flexible foamed plastic sheet 6 composed of polyethylene alone or a copolymer of polyethylene and polypropylene and heated to proper temp. by a heating apparatus 8 in such a state that the surface of the synthetic resin sheet 7 is turned downwardly. The skin material 5 of a high temp. state is introduced into the space between the protruding and recessed molds 3, 2 of a vacuum molding machine 1 in such a state that the surface of the synthetic resin sheet 7 is turned downwardly to be grasped between both molds 3, 2. The recessed mold 2 is brought to a negative pressure state to suck the skin material 5 to the inner surface of the recessed mold and a curable foamed plastic raw material 9a is fed to a pressure feed passage 4 under pressure in such a state that the skin material 5 is sucked to the inner surface of the recessed mold 2 to press the skin material 5 to the recessed mold 2 and the foamed plastic raw material 9a is allowed to fill the space between the skin material 5 and the protruding mold 3 to be cured and molded.
