Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately reproduce radio data by interrupting the supply of a ratio data signal to a PLL circuit of a demodulating means for a prescribed time only at the time of the change of the reception frequency. CONSTITUTION:When the channel selection processing is terminated and the frequency division ratio of a programmable frequency divider of a PLL circuit in a front end 11 is not changed, the radio data signal is demodulated since a gate circuit 17 is turned on to supply the detection output of an FM detector 4 to a filter 6 through a gate circuit 17. When the frequency division ratio is changed, the gate circuit 17 is turned off to interrupt the supply of the detection output of the FM detector 4 to the filter 6, and the gate circuit 17 is turned on after a prescribed time. Thus, the oscillation frequency of a VCO of the PLL circuit 7 is prevented from being pulled-in to either sideband of the radio data signal by the change of the frequency division ratio.
