Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the fatigue of the eye of an operator due to the incidence of an external light to a display screen by controlling an angle position to a constantly optimum position correspondingly to the change of an environment in which a VDT is disposed. CONSTITUTION:The VDT is constituted of a display part 1, a device main body 2 for supporting it and an external input part 3 such as a keyboard. An angle adjusting mechanism part 4 is disposed between the display part 1 and the device main body 2. The illumination of an incident light to the display screen 5 of the display part 1 and an incident direction are detected by sensors 6-8. The moving angular direction of the display screen 5 is calculated based on detecting data from the sensors 6-8 and the angle adjusting mechanism part 4 is controlled based on this moving angular direction.
