Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to reliably accomplish the visual inspecting operation by supplying an inspecting video TV camera with the distance information, which is obtained by an optical approach sensor disposed in an inspecting head portion, so that a positioning mechanism is remotely controlled. CONSTITUTION:An object surface inspecting video image fed from an inspecting head 20 is received by a TV camera through an image guide which is built in a flesible cable 15 so that it is converted into an electric signal and transmitted to remove video amplifier 37. On the contrary, the signal from a light control circuit 36 controls a light source unit 16, and the illuminating light emanating therefrom is fed through the light guide in the cable 51 to the head 20 thereby to illuminate the object surface. Since, on the other hand, there is disposed at a distance place a control circuit 32 connected with an operation board 31, a necessary position command signal is generated to drive the inspecting mechanism through a servo-circuit 38. Here, the inspecting image of the object surface obtained at this time is displayed in a TV monitor 8. Thus, it is possible to reliably accomplish the visual inspecting operation.
