Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the S/N ratio of a receiving signal, by mounting a phase shifting/matching means for making the phase of a high frequency current different by the phase difference corresponding to the shift of the spatial arrangement of each transmitting and receiving coil pair and performing tuning and impedance conversion. CONSTITUTION:The 90 deg. phase shifter 5, synthesizer 6 and matching circuit 2 of a high frequency coil apparatus form a phase shifting/matching means 7 for making the phases of the high frequency currents induced in transmitting and receiving coil pairs 1, 4 different by the phase corresponding to the shift of the spatial arrangement of the transmitting and receiving coil pairs 1, 4 and allowing the high frequency currents to match with each other. The angle formed by each of coils 1a, 1b, 4a, 4b is almost 90 deg.. The noises generated in the transmitting and receiving coil pairs 1, 4 are set off each other when inputted to and outputted from the synthesizer 6 and the S/N ratio of a signal is improved.
