Abstract
PURPOSE:To compensate the waveform distortion, by controlling the amplitude of the base band signal at polarized wave side, in demodulating the transmission wave by using the reference carrier different in phase by 90 deg. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal polarization signal is fed to the terminal 41 and the vertical polarization signal is to the terminal 42. Detectors 50, 51, 52 perform demodulation with the signal having the phase diference by 90 deg. from the phase shifter 49. Thus, the first and second series signal of the horizontal polarization demodulation and those of the vertical polarization demodulation are obrained. The output of the phase detector 50 is fed to the synthesis circuit 56, and the correlation between the first and second series signals of the vertical polarization from the circuits 54 and 55 is taken at the correlating units 57 and 58 to be the control signal for the amplitude control circuits 61 and 62. The synthesis circuit 56 synthesizes the first and second signals of the vertical polarization in amplitude-control and outputs the first series base band signal of horizontal polarization without vertical polarization components.
