Abstract
PURPOSE: To make an upright vacuum cleaner adaptable to not only a floor surface but also all places to be cleaned by arranging a dust chamber and a motor in the vertical direction on a main body, connecting an extension pipe and a floor suction tool to the duct chamber via a flexible hose, and removably fixing the extension pipe in the vertical direction in the front of the main body. CONSTITUTION: An expandable and flexible hose 17 is fixed to the upper section of a dust chamber 12, and an extension pipe 18 and a floor suction tool 19 are connected to its tip. The extension pipe 18 is inserted and removably fixed to a groove section 20 formed in the front of a main body 11. When a floor surface is to be cleaned, a handle 24 is held while the extension pipe 18 is inserted into the groove section 20 of the main body 11. When the extension pipe 18 is removed from the groove section 20 of the main body 11 and the hose 17 is extended and the floor suction tool 19 is replaced with a haired nozzle, a staircase, a shelf, a sofa, a curtain, and a ceiling can be easily cleaned.
