Abstract
PURPOSE: To steplessly regulate a seat footrest in a desired position by driving the taking in and out of the footrest that has been housed under the seat by means of a motor, and by cooperating a footrest elevating means and a footrest backward and forward sliding means by means of a cam mechanism. CONSTITUTION: An automatic driving mechanism 30 for a seat footrest device is provided with a backward and forward moving structure 31 and a vertically moving slide block 32, and these are independently and pivotally formed so as to be slidable backward and forward respectively, and also a footrest 1 is placed on the upper surface of the backward and forward moving structure 31. In the backward and forward moving structure 31, a pinion 37 that has been engaged with a rack 36 juxtaposed in the sliding direction is driven by a motor 38 so that the rack 36 is moved backward and forward. Further, in the structure driving shaft 42, a clutch mechanism 45 having a clutch lever 44 which is connected or disconnected to a clutch cam 43 that is juxtaposedly cooperated with the vertically moving slide block 32 is constituted, and when the clutch lever 44 is pressed in the direction of the arrow A, the rotation of the pinion 37 is cut off from the rotation of the structure driving shaft 41.
