Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a substrate which can be formed without any special cautions by a method wherein one or more sheets of fabric which are woven out of flexible composite which consists of bundles of continuous glass fibers coated with polyphenylene sulfide resin are laminated and formed into a plate through heating and pressurizing. CONSTITUTION:Bundles of continuous glass fibers are coated with polyphenylene sulfide resin for the formation of the flexible composite, which is woven into fabric. One or more sheets of the fabric are laminated so as to form a plate through heating and pressurizing. Therefore, resin exists in fibers of the fabric at a certain space and furthermore the fabric itself is less dense than one woven directly out of fibers. The fabric woven as mentioned above is formed into an insulating substrate of glass fibers fixed with PPS through heating and pressurizing, where the resin is easily impregnated into gaps among the fibers and sufficiently diffused. By these processes, the operation is facilitated.
