Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to facilitate the cleaning and expelling of the dust sticking to beans and to process the beans to highquality products without entailing the molting of the beans by subjecting the beans to a drying treatment right after a washing treatment of the dust sticking to the grain surfaces of the beans. CONSTITUTION: A water feeder 35 is installed into a flow stroke path 29 of the beans provided with transfer devices 1, 2 for transporting the beans from a supply section 12 to a discharge section 28. A washing device 37 is formed by the discharge section 28 and a water feeder 36 disposed at the flow stroke path 29 so as to drain and remove the dust sticking to the grain surfaces of the beans by washing with water. A drying device 41 disposed in the rear stroke of the washing device 37 is installed at the flow stroke path 29. Namely, the beans are subjected to the drying treatment immediately after the washing treatment of the dust sticking to the grain surfaces of the beans. Consequently, the beans may be processed to the high-quality products free of the deposits without damaging the beans.
